No more dilemmas resulting from having to sort through multiple versions of the accounts, or updating the accounting software, or shuffling files back and forth. XERO allows accountants to just focus on managing tax and accounts, and providing qualitative business advice.

3)      Bank Reconciliations – MYOB and Quickbooks are still yet to rival XERO in terms of ease of managing the data from the bank downloads. Countless hours are still wasted in preparing the file for accountants via inefficient accounting software which still require manual input of the banks information. Businesses using XERO are usually have their accounts updated the fastest with the latest financial data.

4)      Reporting – while XERO offers both business owners and accountant a wide array of reports, MYOB and Quickbooks have the upper hand here at present in terms of numbers of reports available. XERO’s series of reports (financial statements and visual)) are geared towards the business owners, whereas MYOB et al provide a quicker drill down in to the accounts for reporting and tax purposes – accountant friendly. We anticipate the balance of XERO’s reports to eventually succeed those of MYOB in future based on its latest endeavours to push its cloud technology to the maximum.
